Feeding bodies, lifting hearts, and reminding every neighbor: you are not alone.
Why We Exist
In our city, thousands of people quietly struggle with food insecurity and homelessness. Many sleep in shelters, on trains, or on the streets—often feeling unseen and unheard.
We believe that as a community, we are responsible for one another. Feeding someone is more than handing over a sandwich; it is offering dignity, connection, and hope.
Our faith teaches us to feed the hungry, care for the vulnerable, and give expecting nothing in return but the pleasure of Allah. Feed a Friend Project is our attempt to live that teaching in a practical, consistent way.
Our Mission Statement
Feed a Friend Project’s mission is to build a community where no one eats alone—by providing meals, kindness, and connection to people facing hunger and homelessness, for the sake of Allah.
How We Turn Our Mission to Action
Use bullets so it’s easy to scan:
We work to fulfill our mission by:
- Partnering with masājid and youth groups to host Feed a Friend events where volunteers pack and distribute meals.
- Creating meaningful volunteer experiences that bring families and youth together in hands‑on service.
- Preparing thoughtful meal packs that are easy to carry, respectful, and made with care.
- Distributing directly to those in need, meeting people where they are—with a smile, a greeting, and a moment of human connection.
- Educating our community about homelessness, food insecurity, and the power of small, consistent acts of mercy.
