Our Impact Begins With A Friend

“And what can make you know what is the difficult path? It is the freeing of a slave or feeding on a day of severe hunger an orphan of near relationship or a needy person in misery.”
— Qur’an 90:12-16

The Feed A Friend Project began with a simple intention: to make sure our neighbors facing hunger are not forgotten, and to remind our community that every meal given is an act of mercy.

Our very first founding event took place in collaboration with Madani Youth at Madani Masjid in November 2025. Together, we hosted a two‑day initiative to prepare and distribute meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity and homelessness.

This page shares the story and impact of that first collaboration—and the foundation it built for the Feed A Friend Project.

Day 1 – Pack With Purpose

On November 14, 2025, volunteers gathered at Madani Masjid after Isha Prayer to launch the very first Feed A Friend event. With supplies laid out across tables, we formed an assembly line to prepare sandwiches and meal packs.

Every bag represented not just food, but a message: you are seen, you are cared for, and you are not alone.

Day 2 – Hands That Serve, Hearts That Care

On November 15, 2025, from Asr Prayer to Maghrib Prayer, we shifted from packing to serving. Volunteers helped organize routes and headed out to share meals with people facing homelessness and hardship.

The most powerful moments were not just in handing over food, but in sharing eye contact, smiles, and conversations that restored a sense of dignity and hope.
